Product Description
A semi-automatic CNC wood router machine is a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) device for cutting and shaping wood that requires some degree of manual intervention during operation. Unlike a fully automatic machine with an Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), which can swap tools and complete an entire job without operator input, a semi-automatic model requires a person to manually change the router bits between different cutting operations. The user still benefits from the precision and speed of computer-controlled motion (via G-code) for all cutting paths, but they must manually load and unload the workpiece, and, most importantly, change the cutting tools when the program calls for a new one. This makes semi-automatic machines a more cost-effective and simpler option for workshops with lower production volumes or for tasks that don't require frequent tool changes.
